Decorated Eggs with Glue Varnish
The glue varnish technique allows you to quickly cover your Easter eggs with beautiful printed patterns, giving them a romantic look with small flowers or a wild touch with animal print designs. Simply tear small pieces of paper for glue varnish (Decopatch, Gluepatch…) then apply a thin layer of glue varnish on your egg, and place the torn pieces of paper onto the sticky part; finally, cover the surface with another thin layer of glue varnish. Repeat the operation to fully cover the object. For a nice color rendering, apply a layer of Gesso (white primer) on your base before starting. Indeed, the papers for gluing are very thin and can show some transparency, so if your base is dark (like papier mâché or medium wood), it may dull the colors of the paper.
