Animal Fingerprint Magnets
In this activity, children will learn to draw small funny animals and insects using fingerprint stamps created with ink pads. Once the small animals are made, we will show you a technique to transform them into magnets using glass pebbles.
A creative, easy, and fun activity that will yield lots of pretty colored magnets to decorate the fridge!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make beautiful magnets, you will need:
- large glass pebbles
- a thick white cardstock (A4 - 300 g)
- ink pads
- glue varnish and a brush
- magnets
- a glue gun
- a fine-tipped black marker
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Press your index finger on a colored ink pad and then transfer the fingerprint onto a sturdy white card.
Step 2
Transform the footprint into a small funny insect/animal using a fine-tipped black marker.

Step 3
Create additional small animals on the sturdy card while being careful to space them about 5 cm apart.
Step 4
Apply a generous layer of glue varnish on the flat part of a glass pebble.
Step 5
Glue a glass pebble onto each drawing and press firmly.
Let the glue varnish dry until the next day.
Step 6
Once the glue varnish is dry (it becomes transparent), cut the paper around the pebble.
Step 7
Turn the pebble over and glue a magnet with a glue gun.
The pebbles can then be displayed on the refrigerator or any other metallic surface and serve as a memo!
