Christmas Reindeer with Walnut Shells
In this activity, children will have fun creating original ornaments for the tree using walnut shells. With these walnut shells and a few twigs, it will be possible to make beautiful 3D reindeer that can be glued onto cardboard balls to hang them on the Christmas tree.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
For this activity, you will need:
- cardboard hanging balls
- walnut shells
- twigs
- rhinestone stickers
- googly eyes Ø 12 mm
- mini pom-poms
- fabric bows
- markers
- a glue gun
Step 1
Color the top of the ball with a marker.
Step 2
Glue 2 walnut shells together with a glue gun to form the body and head of the reindeer.
Step 3
Glue 2 twigs with the glue gun to create the reindeer's antlers.
If necessary, cut the twigs with a pair of scissors.
Step 4
Glue a fabric bow to the top of the reindeer's head.
Step 5
Glue 2 googly eyes.
Step 6
Glue a small colored pom-pom to create the reindeer's nose.
Step 7
Decorate the reindeer using a marker (mouth, legs, tail, spots on the back...).
Step 8
Paste rhinestone stickers onto the cardboard ball to create a sparkling ornament for the Christmas tree!
