For Mother's Day, take a simple wooden box and transform it into a beautiful jewelry box.
Flowers, rhinestones, lace, and pretty colors: these are all the ingredients the children will need to create this cute and practical gift for their moms!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity, you will need :
- a square wooden box (10 x 10 cm)
- drawing ink and a brush
- adhesive lace
- adhesive rhinestones
- felt roses
- message stickers
- a tube of glue
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Decorate the wooden box with colored ink and then let it dry for about 15 minutes.
Note: We preferred to use ink instead of paint to preserve the essence of the wood, but also for its ease of use and quick drying.
Step 2
Cut a piece of adhesive lace 40 cm long and then stick it around the lid of the box.
Step 3
Decorate the edges of the lid with adhesive rhinestones.
Step 4
Glue 2 felt roses in the center of the box using white liquid glue.
Step 5
Stick a message sticker to personalize the box for Mother's Day.
