Paracord Keychain: Fairy

Here is the list of materials needed to make a Fairy keychain with paracord:

- A paracord of 55 cm

- Another paracord of approximately 115 cm

- A wooden bead Ø 2.5 cm

- Paint markers

- A pair of scissors

- A lighter (to be used by an adult)

Start by painting the wooden bead with paint markers to create the fairy's face.

It is advisable to sketch the face with a pencil first, then paint over your lines.

Fold the smallest paracord in half and thread it through the wooden bead.

Make a knot that will allow you to hang your Fairy.

From this step, you can consult the technical sheet above to learn the method for Shamballa / Macramé knots, as these knots will be used throughout this tutorial.

Position the fairy's head towards you. We will braid the "legs" from the fairy to its head.

Using the yellow paracord (the longest piece), and placing it in the middle, make a first knot that wraps around the two pieces of pink paracord. (This first knot is explained in detail in the technical sheet above).

Braid over approximately 4 rows following the method in the technical sheet.

To create the wings, simply replicate the same knots used so far, but do not tighten them.

Add 2 additional wings to the fairy...

To create the magic wand, simply cut a piece of paracord about 10 cm long and then tie a simple knot.

Next, cut the cord at the edge of the knot and secure the ends by burning them for a few seconds with a lighter (this step is for adults only).

Add the magic wand to the fairy's hand by making a knot.

Make simple knots for hands and feet.

Your keychain is now complete!

Add a ring or a carabiner to hang your keys or attach it to a backpack.
