Tropical FIMO Earrings

To make these earrings you will need the following materials:

- 6 Fimo blocks (Soft white, cherry red, apple green, emerald, mandarin, and transparent Effect, pastel lilac)

- 1 silicone mold Tropical theme

- a stainless steel roller + 1 precision cutter

- earring studs + metal rings Ø 7, 10 mm)

- Azulith glue

- 1 needle (you can use a toothpick if you have one at home)

We are going to create all the shapes that will come on the loops: the flowers and Monstera leaves. 

For that, we have a great silicone mold that includes several useful shapes, but for the frangipani flowers, here's how to make them yourself if you have the time and desire ;-) .

We will create a gradient for the petals of the flower using three colors: white, lilac, tangerine. Shape a strip for each color, then slightly overlap them in the following order: tangerine, then white, and finally lilac. 

Roll the roller over this assembly of 3 colors. Then fold the strips onto themselves (always on the same colors: the lilac on lilac, the white on white, etc.). Next, roll the roller over it again. 

Repeat this operation until the gradient is well homogenized. 

Cut the strip in the center (where the gradient is the sharpest) to obtain a strip about 20 cm long and 3 cm wide. 

In this strip, cut out the petals using the precision cutter. 

Assemble five petals together by overlapping them slightly to create the flower. Cut off the excess at the base with a cutter. 

Create a gradient for the Hibiscus flowers again, this time using red Fimo + mandarin Fimo. Then cut out the petals (same as step 3) but this time, make a more elongated cut, as this flower will be larger. 

With the help of a needle (or a toothpick), shape the top of the petals by creating small cuts. You can then use your fingers to refine the shape of each petal (see the video).

Create Monstera leaves using Apple Green and Tropical Green Fimo. To do this, use the silicone mat. 

Using the translucent White Fimo (014) and the rolling pin, create a plate of 15 × 15 cm, approximately 3 or 4 mm thick. 

You can now place all the elements on this plate. 

With the Mandarin Fimo, add stamens to the flowers (see photo on the side).

Tip : To easily handle your Slab plate, you can place it on a baking paper. This paper will then go into the oven with your creation. 

Print the template (available for download under the main visual) and cut out your loops following each template. 

> 2 large ovals and 2 small ovals will make up the loops.

Divide the two large ovals in the center and pierce two holes with the needle at the cutout. 

Also make a hole at the top of the part that will be attached to the small oval. Finally, make a hole at the top of the two small ovals (connected to the large ovals).

Bake the creation for 30 minutes at 110 °C. 

You can now assemble the parts with the metal rings and the jewelry pliers. 

Behind the small ovals, glue the earrings.
