You can shape Fimo clay with classic modeling tools such as spatulas to sculpt, cut, and mold. The polymer clay bonds to wood, so it's best to use metal or plastic tools.

To create shapes, use metal cookie cutters. You'll have a lot of fun with the extruder syringe, which allows you to create tubes in various shapes (half-moons, hearts, stars) that you can then cut as desired.

Once shaped, the clay is baked in the oven at 110 °C (thermostat 3) for 15 to 30 minutes to harden through the polymerization process. After removing it from the oven, wait for the clay to cool and harden for 30 minutes outdoors. Once baked, the polymer clay is resistant to water and can absorb impacts. Fimo clays come in several ranges: the "Soft" clays, which feature classic colors, the "Effect" ones, which have specific color effects: the translucent (an effect that develops after baking), glittery, pastel colors, pearlescent, neon (the clays become fluorescent under blue light), and the "leather" clay, which offers a leather-like effect while remaining flexible even after baking.
