Painting holds a significant place in school, from the first watercolor paintings in kindergarten to the more advanced works of older students. For the new school year, you will find everything you need to paint in class as well as at home: watercolors, acrylic paints, and inks, all formulated for children and partially made in France under our brand 10doigts. These products are easy to use, washable, and available in formats suitable for both individual use and group workshops.

Gouache, the quintessential school paint

If there were only one paint to choose for school, it would be gouache. Opaque, bright, and easy to work with, it can be used with a brush and a little water, making it suitable for most classroom activities. Its great advantage: it is washable. Our ultra-washable gouaches wash out with water from hands and clothing, reassuring both parents and teachers. You can find it in small pots for home use as well as in one-liter containers for classrooms, and in a gentler version for younger children.

Painting cleanly with solid gouache

Here is the ally for workshops where spills need to be avoided: solid gouache in stick form. It is used like a large crayon, without water or brush, dries almost instantly, and does not run. Ideal for allowing an entire class to paint without worrying about stains and spilled pots, it saves time during setup and cleanup.

Finger paint for the little ones

In kindergarten, children often paint even before they can hold a brush. Finger paint, with its thick texture and formula designed for toddlers, allows them to explore color safely, directly with their hands. Also very washable, it lets children explore freely without worrying about their clothes.

Acrylics and inks for older students

As students grow, their projects evolve. Acrylic paint, more intense and durable once dry, is well-suited for works that need to last and for decorative surfaces. Inks provide pure colors for drawing and calligraphy: colored drawing inks or extra black Chinese ink can be used with a pen or brush, allowing for more advanced techniques. Note that acrylic paint cannot be removed once dry: it is reserved for creations that you wish to keep.

What paint to use in class

Painting in class requires a bit of organization. Trays, cups, and dispensing pumps facilitate the preparation and distribution of colors, minimizing waste during group sessions. This allows for an efficient workshop setup and easy cleanup.
