We are back with an easy and original creative idea that will allow you to make sparkling stars to hang on the Christmas tree. This simple craft involving cutting and gluing can be done with children aged 5 and up. So, gather some paper straws, a bit of paper, stars, and rhinestones, and let’s get started!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a Christmas ball, you will need:
- Cardboard straws
- Colored strong cards (300 g/m²)
- Felt star stickers
- Glitter star stickers
- Round adhesive rhinestones
- Metallic cord
- A round punch Ø 7.5 cm
- White glue
- A craft knife
- A pair of scissors
- A pencil
Step 1
Using a hole punch, cut out 2 circles Ø 7.5 cm from a sturdy cardstock (300g/m²).
Step 2
Cut 8 pieces of straws of approximately 8 cm, varying patterns and colors.
Step 3
Run the tip of a pencil along the ends of the straws to reshape them into a rounded form.
Step 4
Apply spiral glue on the 2 paper circles.
Step 5
Place the straws in a star shape on the glued side of the first circle, then place the second circle on top to glue everything together.
Then let the glue dry for an hour.
Step 6
Decorate the center of the suspension by sticking felt star stickers...
Step 7
...or glittery stars.
Step 8:
Stick adhesive rhinestones all around the paper circle to add an elegant touch of sparkle.
Step 9
Finally, make a small cut with a cutter in a straw (only cut halfway through the straw), then wedge the metal cord in the slit so you can hang your star on the tree.
