We mistakenly received inverted heart candle holders in our stock, but at 10doigts, we won’t let that stifle our creativity!
We turned this into a fun and creative activity to do with your children for Mother's Day: a heart photo holder! This playful activity will allow your children to develop their creativity while learning to decorate a decorative object for Mother's Day or Father's Day.
One thing is for sure, little artists will be proud to present their creations! So don't hesitate and purchase the necessary materials now to complete this fun activity.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Material:
To make a photo holder you will need:
- a wooden candlestick
- a nice family photo
- wooden decorative butterflies or flowers
- rhinestones
- adhesive lace
- a clothespin
- paint (blue and red) + a brush
- adhesive glue dots
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
To start, paint the base of the candlestick blue and the rest in red, leaving the center unpainted.
Then let it dry for 20 minutes.
Step 2:
Once dry, stick adhesive rhinestones around the heart.
Step 3:
Next, stick on some white adhesive lace.
Step 4:
In the center of the heart, stick a butterfly or a wooden flower with an adhesive dot.
Step 5:
Clip the two painted pieces in red.
Step 6:
Glue the base (painted blue) behind the heart with two adhesive dots.
Step 7:
And finally, stick a clothespin on the back of the support with two adhesive pads and add a nice family photo.
