Flower and Ladybug Lantern
For Mother's Day, we will show you how to make a beautiful lantern using a glass jar, tissue paper, and glue.
An easy activity that children can do to create a lovely gift for their moms!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create a lovely lantern, you will need:
- a glass jar (100 ml)
- a wooden log
- pink tissue paper
- decoupage glue and a brush
- white adhesive lace
- a felt rose
- heart-shaped rhinestone stickers
- a grass-effect sheet
- small wooden ladybugs
- a glue gun
- a pair of scissors
- an LED candle
Step 1
Cut about twenty squares of 3 x 3 cm from a sheet of pink tissue paper.
Step 2
Apply a decoupage glue over the entire surface of the globe using a brush, then stick the squares of tissue paper. Apply another layer of decoupage glue over each glued square of paper.
Once the surface is completely covered, let it dry for a few hours.
Step 3
Decorate the lid of the jar with white adhesive lace, then glue a pretty felt rose with a hot glue gun.
Step 4
Glue heart rhinestone stickers onto the glass jar for a lovely decoration.
Step 5
Flip over the grass effect mat, place the wooden log on top, and trace the outline with a pencil.
Cut along the traced line and glue the grass effect mat onto the log to create a lovely base for the lantern.
Step 6
Glue the lantern to the center of the log using the hot glue gun.
Decorate the edge of the base by gluing on small wooden ladybugs.
Step 7
Open the lid and place an LED candle inside the glass jar to illuminate the lantern once night falls.
