Heart-Shaped Metal Embossing Box
Decorate this box with embossed metal and accessories. A craft that has crossed generations, metal embossing is an original method to decorate all types of wooden objects. It can be embossed or "repoussé", then glued with a hot glue gun to the base of your choice.
We used permanent ink markers here to add colors; permanent markers have several advantages for decorating metal: they dry quickly, they do not smudge, and they offer vibrant colors!
Then, add some glitter, rhinestones, and a small heart-shaped mirror, and voilà a beautiful jewelry box!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Step 1
Cover the box with the metallic sheet and glue it with the glue gun.
If you want to push the metal to shape it, do this before gluing it onto the box.
Step 2
In the center of the lid, glue the heart mirror in place, then decorate the metal with the paint markers.
Step 3
Finally, glue rhinestones around the edges of the box and apply glitter around the heart mirror using the glitter gel pens.
