Paper Puppets

To make a puppet, you will need:

- 1 sheet of colored paper (A4 size or 25 x 35 cm)

- 1 roll of self-adhesive lace ribbon

- 1 wooden stick (30 cm long)

- A few rhinestones

- 2 googly eyes

- 1 pipe cleaner (30 cm long)

- 2 round beads

- White glue (type Craft glue)

- 1 fine-tipped black marker

- 1 photo if you want to customize the puppet

- 1 pair of scissors

Fold a colored A4 sheet (or equivalent) in an accordion style with intervals of about 1 cm.

The folds are made along the width of the sheet.

Stick a strip of self-adhesive lace along the entire length of the sheet as shown in the photo on the side.

Turn the sheet over and apply white glue along the entire length of the center fold.

Next, glue the wooden stick as shown in the picture beside.

The stick should extend over the side of the sheet where the lace is glued.

Let the glue dry for a few minutes, then turn your puppet over.

Using a caterpillar, make a knot about 7 cm from the top of the paper.

Add a round bead to each end of the pipe cleaner, then shape it to create the arms of the puppet.

Cut out a circle of paper about 4 cm in diameter.

Glue on 2 googly eyes and draw a smile to create the puppet's face.

You can also personalize the puppet by cutting out a face from a photo.

Using white glue, attach the puppet's face.

To decorate your puppet, there's nothing better than gluing on rhinestones in various colors and shapes.
