Punched Card on Embroidered Felt
Create a card for Mother's Day using the punched felt technique. It's very easy; all you need is to poke the paper with a small metal-tipped tool that will perforate the paper. Once the design is complete, you can connect some points with embroidery thread.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Choose Your Drawing
Download our heart drawing or another drawing of your choice. Place the sheet of paper on the felt to have a soft working surface, then put the drawing on the sheet of paper.
Puncture the drawing
Using the puncturing tool, perforate the drawing at the indicated points to go through the drawing and the paper underneath at the same time.
Punching the sheet
Once the outlines of the drawing are perforated, puncture with less pressure all around the hearts, spacing the points further apart.
Embroider the Map
Finally, thread a pink embroidery floss through the heart's stitches, either covering all the stitches or just connecting a few.
