Here is a lovely wooden frame that children will enjoy decorating with cardboard straws and stickers to create a beautiful gift for Father's Day.
This easy and fun creative activity includes: painting, cutting, and gluing!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make this lovely frame, you will need:
- a wooden "polaroid" frame
- acrylic paint and a brush
- colored cardboard straws
- a pair of scissors
- white glue
- alphabet stickers
- a paper bow tie
- a photo
- a pencil
Step 1
Paint the frame with acrylic paint and then let it dry for about 20 minutes.
Step 2
Cut approximately 50 small pieces of straws about 1.5 cm long using a pair of scissors.
Step 3
The straws may be slightly crushed after cutting. To restore their round shape, push the lead of a pencil into both ends of the straws.
Step 4
Apply white glue on the edges of the frame and then stick the pieces of straws.
Step 5
Glue the straws on the left, on the right, and above the window of the frame.
Step 6
Customize the frame with the word "DAD" using colorful stickers.
Step 7
Place the frame on its base.
Step 8
Glue a pretty paper bow tie onto the base of the frame.
Step 9
Cut out and insert a nice photo into the frame.
