Handmade Bowl
Easy to make with air-dry modeling clay, create your own trendy bowl to decorate your home. Practical, it can hold keys, coins, and other accessories in this catchall.
All you need is Plastiroc clay and raffia to create this lovely bowl!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Step 1
Knead and soften the clay in your hands. Flatten the clay to form a circle at least 1 cm thick.
Step 2
Use the bowl as a mold and cut off the excess dough. Smooth the edge with a modeling tool dipped in water, or with your finger.
Step 3
Line the inside of the bowl with cling film, which will facilitate the demolding of the cup once dry.
Then, place the dough disc at the bottom, and using a tool, pierce a few holes at the base of the cup.
Step 4
Shape a small block of dough into a ring to form the base of the cup, ensuring it is well-proportioned. Let it dry.
Step 5
Using raffia, create a twisted crown that will be the size of the top of the bowl.
Step 6
Once the bowl is dry and unmolded, place the crown on its rim. Using a large needle and raffia, attach it to the bowl by passing the thread through each hole as if you were sewing it.
Step 7
Finally, place the bowl on its base previously made in step 4.
