How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity, you will need:
- a terracotta pot (Ø 7-8 cm)
- a polystyrene ball Ø 7 cm
- a wooden stick
- colored chenilles 30 cm
- acrylic paint and a brush
- 2 movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- white adhesive lace
- a fabric bow
- white modeling clay
- natural moss
- adhesive gel dots (glue dots)
- a black marker
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Paint the pot, the polystyrene ball (center of the flower), and the wooden stick (flower stem) with acrylic paint.
Step 2
Cut 9 colored chenilles of 30 cm into 2 pieces. This will be used to make the petals of the flower.
Step 3
Insert the chenilles into the polystyrene ball to form the first row of petals.
Step 4
Plant caterpillars of a different color in a second row to give volume to the flower.
Step 5
Glue 2 movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm with adhesive gel dots.
Draw a pretty smile with a black marker.
Step 6
Insert the wooden stem into the polystyrene ball to form the flower's stem.
Step 7
Decorate the pot with adhesive lace and a pretty fabric bow (to be attached with a gel adhesive dot).
Step 8
Fill about half of the pot with a ball of white modeling dough and then compact the dough.
Step 9
Trim the flower stem with a pair of scissors and then plant it in the pot.
Step 10
For a nice finish, place some floral foam in the flower pot.
Step 11
Cut out 2 green leaves from a sturdy card and glue them onto the flower stem with a glue gel pad.
