In this activity, children will transform a small metal bucket into a beautiful photo holder to give as a gift for Mother's Day / Father's Day.
An easy creative activity based on collage and bead threading, accessible from a young age!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a pretty photo holder you will need:
- a mini metal bucket
- adhesive lace
- letter stickers
- hardening modeling clay
- a paper clip
- wooden skewers
- rubber heart stickers
- faceted beads
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Decorate the top of the metal jump with adhesive lace.
Step 2
Write "Happy Birthday" on the front of the bucket using our letter stickers.
Step 3
Place a small ball of modeling clay at the bottom of the bucket.
This will allow us to plant the photo clip as well as the hearts, while weighing down the bucket for good balance.
Step 4
Thread pretty faceted beads onto the photo holder wire.
Leave the last 3 centimeters free to be able to insert the wire into the modeling clay.
Step 5
Insert the photo holder stem into the modeling dough, at the center of the bucket.
Step 6
Stick heart stickers back to back on the ends of 2 wooden rods.
Shorten the wooden rods using a pair of scissors.
Step 7
Plant the wooden sticks adorned with hearts in the bucket.
Step 8
Fill the bucket with paper grass for a lovely finish.
