What are gansai watercolors?
Gansai is traditional Japanese watercolor. It differs from Western watercolor by having a higher pigment load and a more opaque consistency: the colors are denser, more covering, and stand out even on toned or dark paper. When diluted, they regain the classic transparency of watercolor.

Are the colors refillable? The pans can practically be refilled with tube watercolor, left to dry.
