I'm Making a Snow Globe for Christmas
Make Your Own Snow Globe for Christmas: A Magical Activity to do with Kids.
Making my own snow globe for Christmas has become a true ritual over the years. There is something profoundly poetic about a snow globe… Every time I turn it over, I am fascinated by the snow gently swirling around a miniature scene. For a few seconds, everything seems frozen, suspended in a bubble of tenderness.
It’s that magic that I love to share when I propose this activity to children, whether at home or at school. As a huge enthusiast of creative activities, I have had the chance to make dozens of them: simple snow globes for young children, to more elaborate versions filled with glitter, little figures, and sparkling snow.
What I particularly enjoy is seeing the children imagine their own little snowy scene. A mini Christmas tree, a reindeer figurine, or a souvenir photo: everyone adds a bit of themselves. And at the moment they turn their snow globe for the first time, their eyes light up. What I love about this activity is that it adapts to everyone: from kindergarten kids to experienced crafters.
For me, DIY snow globes are not just decorative objects. They are true little three-dimensional stories. Some have become real family treasures that I pull out every year with the same wonder.
