You will need varnish-glue, which is used both to glue and to varnish the paper. Use glueable paper, Decopatch paper, or printed napkins (separating the unprinted layers). This technique is suitable for all ages and compatible with various surfaces such as wood, styrofoam, terracotta, glass, porcelain, and plastic.

To start, coat the object to be decorated with a layer of varnish-glue, then place the cut-out pattern from your paper or napkin, and smooth it with a brush while applying another layer of varnish-glue. The paper will thus conform to the shape and contours of the object, giving it a renewed style.
