3D Easter Bunny in a Plate
With a large polystyrene egg (well, let's say rather half an egg) and a cardboard plate, we will create a cute 3D bunny for Easter!
Painting, gluing, cutting, and playing with pipe cleaners are all part of this complete and easy creative activity for kids!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make this 3D rabbit, you will need:
- a cardboard plate
- paint and a brush
- a half polystyrene egg (15.5 cm)
- chenille stems
- pom poms
- card stock flowers
- adhesive rhinestones
- a bow tie
- a sheet of white paper
- a black marker
- a pair of scissors
- a glue gun
Note: The glue gun is very handy for instant gluing, but you may also choose to use a strong white glue for this activity!
Step 1
Paint the cardboard plate (the hollow part) with acrylic paint and let it dry for about 20 minutes.
Step 2
Glue a half styrofoam egg to the center of the plate using a hot glue gun.
Step 3
Glue a pompom onto the egg with the glue gun to create the bunny's nose.
Cut 4 small pieces of pipe cleaner and poke them on each side of the pompom to create the bunny's whiskers.
Étape 4
Place 2 caterpillars on top of the egg to create the rabbit's ears.
Step 5
Draw the eyes and teeth of the rabbit (with outlines) on a sheet of white paper and then cut out the 3 shapes.
Step 6
Glue the eyes and the teeth onto the styrofoam egg.
Step 7
Select about ten sturdy cardstock flowers and then glue an adhesive gem in the center of each of them.
Step 8
Glue the flowers around the plate to give a beautiful spring effect to your creation.
Finally, glue a pretty bow beneath the polystyrene egg.
