3D Paper Bird

For this activity you will need:

- colored paper sheets

- a pair of scissors

- a stick of white glue

- 1.2 cm Ø wiggle eyes

Optional materials:

- round hole punches

- paint markers

Fold a blue sheet of paper in half.

Cut out about 6 circles of approximately 8 cm in diameter from colored paper sheets.

Tip : If you do not have a punch, you can use a cup or a mug to trace circles on the sheets of paper.

Fold the paper circles in half.

Glue the "back to back" circles to create a multicolored half-sphere (= body of the bird).

Cut out a circle with a diameter of about 5 cm to make the bird's head.

Also cut out the bird's tail from a colored sheet.

Flip the multicolored hemisphere and glue the bird's head and tail.

Glue the entire set onto the blue card.

Cut out the bird's beak from a yellow sheet and glue it onto the bird's head.

Also glue a movable eye Ø 1.2 cm.

Cut a strip of brown paper the width of the sheet, as well as a few small pieces measuring 4 to 6 cm to create a tree branch.

Glue everything under the bird.

Cut small tree leaves from a sheet of green paper and then glue them onto the branch.

Cut out a circle with a diameter of 5 cm from a sheet of yellow paper and glue it to the top of the card to illustrate the sun.

Embellish the map with paint markers (sun rays, leaf veins, clouds...).
