Articulated Superheroes

To make a superhero, you will need:

- Cardboard straws

- Assorted colored caterpillars

- Natural wooden round beads Ø 3 cm (included in the assorted beads ref. 29070)

- Mobile eyes Ø 1 cm

- Felt

- Star, heart, or flower stickers

- Plastic beads with large holes

- Permanent markers

- A cutting mat

- A hole punch

- Wood glue

- A pair of scissors

Place 2 chenilles in a cross and wrap a third chenille around the other two to create a 5-point star.

Cut 8 pieces of straws to 3.5 cm.

On the 2 "lower branches" thread a straw, a plastic bead, and then a second straw. Place the end of the caterpillar into the straw then make a loop to form the character's foot.

Repeat this action to create the second leg of the superhero.

Thread 3 plastic beads through the 4 remaining chenille stems to form the character's torso.

To create the arms, thread a straw, a bead, then another straw, and make a loop to form the hands.

Repeat the action for the second arm.

On a sheet of felt, cut out a cape approximately 9.5 cm high by 9.5 cm wide at the base.

Then stick on a felt star, heart, or flower sticker to decorate the cape.

Make a small hole at the top of the cape with a hole punch, about 1 cm from the edge.

Slide on the cape, then thread a bead through the two remaining chenille stems.

Using permanent markers, draw the hair, mask, and mouth of the superhero on a 3 cm Ø wooden bead.

Glue 2 moving eyes Ø 1 cm with wood glue.

Pass the 2 chenilles through the bead and then cut off the excess thread.

Put some wood glue in the hole located at the top of the head and let it dry for a few hours to secure everything.
