In this tutorial, you will discover how to easily make beautiful lanterns in autumn colors.
For this, we will use a plastic jar, stickers, and natural elements (wood slices, pine cones, moss...).
A creative activity that will excite the children !
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a lantern, you will need:
- a large plastic jar with lid
- a piece of cotton fabric (or burlap)
- adhesive letters
- leaf stickers
- a wooden log (approximately 10 cm in diameter)
- small pine cones
- moss
- an LED candle
- a glue gun
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Cut a strip of 25 cm x 3 cm from a piece of cotton fabric (or hessian).
Step 2
Customize the fabric strip with letter stickers (to write a name, for example).
Step 3
Place the lid face down and then glue the cotton strip to the center of the pot using the glue gun.
Step 4
Decorate the pot with tree leaf stickers.
Step 5
Glue the pot at the center of a log.
Step 6
Glue floral foam around the lid of the pot using the glue gun.
Step 7
Glue small pine cones above the pot.
Note: You can also enjoy a walk in nature to collect small items for your future creations!
Step 8
Unscrew the lid and place an LED candle inside the pot.
