How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create a teddy bear magnet, you will need:
- Natural wooden strips (15.5 x 1.8 cm)
- Wool
- Plastic buttons
- Mobile eyes Ø 12 mm
- Kraft paper
- A permanent marker
- A pair of scissors
- Wood glue
- Self-adhesive magnetic tape
- Adhesive gel dots (glue dots)
Step 1
Align 3 wooden sticks and then glue a fourth stick horizontally using wood glue. Attach this last stick approximately 9 cm from the bottom.
Allow the glue to dry for about 30 minutes.
Step 2
Wrap wool around the teddy bear's arms and weave it crosswise to create the upper part of the teddy bear's vest.
Step 3
Wrap the wool around the 3 bobbins for about 4 cm to finish the vest. Tie a knot to ensure that the vest keeps its shape.
Step 4
Glue 2 plastic buttons onto the vest with wood glue.
Step 5
Cut out the snout, 2 ears, and 2 legs from a sheet of kraft paper.
Step 6
Draw the legs and muzzle of the teddy bear with the black marker.
Step 7
To achieve a nice volume effect, we will use glue dots to stick the snout, the paws, and the eyes of the teddy bear.
Step 8
Turn the teddy bear over and attach the ears.
To turn your teddy bear into a magnet, stick some adhesive magnetic tape on its back (depending on the thickness of the vest, you may need to attach 2 or 3 pieces of magnetic tape on top of each other).
