Today, discover how to create a lovely keychain in vibrant colors using a cork. This pretty, colorful keychain can be made by children so they can give it to their parents for Mother's Day or Father's Day!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Etape 1.
To create this pretty keychain, you will need:
- a cork stopper (Ø 2.4 cm x 4.5 cm)
- acrylic paint and a brush
- screw eyes
- pom-poms with rings
- 2 pliers to tighten the rings
- a keychain attachment
- ribbon
- a heart rhinestone
- a pair of scissors
- strong white glue
Etape 2.
Paint the cork stopper with acrylic paint and let it dry for about 15 minutes.
Etape 3.
Screw a hook at each end of the stopper. They will be used to attach the pom-poms as well as the keychain attachment.
Etape 4.
Attach 3 colored pom-poms with rings to one of the 2 hooks. To tighten and loosen the rings easily, we recommend using long-nose pliers.
Etape 5.
Attach the golden keychain to the other loop, always using long nose pliers for more ease.
Etape 6.
Cut a piece of ribbon about 10 cm long and glue it at the top of the cap using strong white glue.
Cut a second piece of the same size and glue it at the bottom of the cap.
Etape 7.
Using strong white glue, stick a heart-shaped rhinestone in the center of the cap, between the two ribbons.
Let the glue dry for 24 hours before using the keychain.
