Cotton Swab Painting - Clown
This cotton swab painting activity is ideal for keeping little artists engaged from a very young age, at home as well as in school.
Using a stamping technique with cotton swabs, children can easily create the funny hair of the clown by mixing gouache colors. For the finishing touch, simply glue a pretty satin bow under the clown's face for a lovely kids' carnival craft !
A perfect activity to develop fine motor skills, creativity, and hand-eye coordination, all while having fun.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a clown, you will need:
- a printable template by clicking here
- cotton swabs
- gouache paint
- a satin ribbon
- a glue stick
- a silicone painting mat
Step 2:
Prepare the poster paint colors in the designated painting area on the silicone mat.
Step 3:
Then dip the cotton swabs in the paint and dab the different colors onto the paper to create the clown's hair.
Step 4:
Finally, glue a satin bow underneath the clown's face using glue sticks.
