How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make this wind chime you need:
- A driftwood branch
- Colorful faceted beads
- Bells
- Colorful pom-poms with rings
- Natural linen thread (Ø 1mm)
- Clear nylon thread (Ø 0.30 mm)
- Screws with eyelets
- Masking tape
- Paint + a brush
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
To start, stick strips of adhesive masking tape on a driftwood branch to define the areas to be painted.
This will allow us to achieve clean and precise colored strips!
Step 2:
Paint the unmasked areas with colored acrylic paint.
Once the paint is dry, remove the masking tape.
Step 3:
WARNING this step may require the help of an adult.
Screw seven hooks onto the "bottom side" and two more at the ends of the "top side" of the branch.
Step 4:
On the top side of the branch, tie a piece of linen string between the two screw hooks to suspend the wind chime once it is finished.
Step 5:
Then tie a 30 cm piece of nylon thread to each of the seven hooks.
Step 6:
Thread the beads onto the nylon threads, varying the sizes and colors. Start with the middle thread and then gradually decrease the number of beads to achieve the shape of a "pennant".
Step 7:
Finally, thread small metal bells and pom poms onto the end of each string and tie it all up to hold the beads in place.
