Fork Painting: Lion
The fork painting is an activity that you can easily reproduce at home since you already have everything you need! Here, we used this trick to draw the mane of a funny lion!
An easy craft activity combining cutting, painting, and gluing for children under 3 years old.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Material:
To make a lion you need:
- A fork
- Orange gouache
- A plastic bin
- Thick colored cardstock in yellow, dark green, and light green (300 g/m²)
- Wooden discs
- Two mobile eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- White glue
- A black marker
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
To begin, draw a circle with a black marker in the center of a strong yellow card.
Tip: Use a cup to trace a nice circle.
Step 2:
Pour orange gouache into a plastic tray, then dip the back of the fork into the gouache.
Then stamp the fork all around the circle.
Step 3:
Next, use the tines of the fork to give texture to the lion's mane.
Step 4:
While the paint dries, cut about twenty strands of grass (approximately 10 cm in height) from sturdy light green and dark green cards.
Step 5:
Cover the entire surface under the lion's head by sticking the green shapes with white glue.
Step 6:
Glue wooden discs to the top of the yellow sheet.
Step 7:
Glue two movable eyes (Ø 2.5 cm) inside the circle.
Step 8 :
And finally, draw the lion's muzzle, mouth, and whiskers .
