In this tutorial, we suggest decorating a tote bag in a creative way using fabric paint to create a lovely heart. This fun activity will help children develop fine motor skills while creating a unique and practical gift for their beloved mom.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To decorate a tote bag, you will need:
- a heart shape to download / print
- a piece of cardboard
- a tote bag
- fabric paint
- foam stamps
- textile markers
- repositionable spray glue
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
Place a piece of cardboard inside the tote bag to protect it from paint leaking through the fabric.
Step 2:
Print our heart template by clicking here.
Cut out the template and spray repositionable adhesive on the heart.
Allow the adhesive to set for 5 minutes.
Step 3:
Glue the silhouette in the center of the tote bag.
Étape 4 :
Then dab some fabric paint all around the heart, varying the colors and sizes of the stamps.
Let dry for 40 minutes.
Step 5:
Carefully peel off the paper heart.
Step 6:
Right below, write a personalized sentence like "Mom, I love you!" with fabric markers.
Step 7:
Finally, remove the cardboard from the bag and place it under the handles.
Decorate the handles by drawing lots of little colorful dots with the fabric markers.
To permanently set the colors and ensure resistance to machine washing at 40°, iron the tote bag inside out (without steam) for about 5 minutes.
