In this easy Easter activity for kids, we show you how to make a super cute jumping Easter rabbit! In this craft, we will simply use two paper cups, a rubber band, and a bit of decorative material. This activity is ideal for stimulating children's creativity and dexterity, and it will especially keep them entertained during the Easter holidays.
It’s easy to recreate at home, and the kids will LOVE making their rabbit jump all around.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a jumping rabbit you need:
- two cardboard cups
- two small rubber bands Ø 6 cm
- a mega caterpillar
- a rhinestone bow tie
- two large googly eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- a black paint marker
- adhesive gel dots
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
First, cut 4 slits at the four corners of a cardboard cup.
Étape 2 :
Cut the two elastics in half, then tie a knot at each end of each piece of elastic. Slide one of the knots into a slot and pull the elastic towards the opposite slot to pass it through.
Repeat the same operation with the other piece of elastic.
Step 3:
Stick two movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm with adhesive dots.
Step 4:
Next, draw the rabbit's nose, mouth, and whiskers using a black paint marker.
Step 5:
With an adhesive dot, stick a small rhinestone bow at the top of the cup.
Step 6:
Cut a mega caterpillar in half, then fold each piece to give them a rabbit ear shape.
Next, gently twist the two ends together to secure the shape.
Step 7:
Using a pair of scissors, make two small holes at the top of the cup.
Step 8:
Pass the bunny ears through the holes.
Step 9:
And there you have it, just place the bunny on another cup, then press down and release: the bunny makes a huge jump!
