How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make this pretty keychain you will need:
- a printable pencil template
- a sheet of self-adhesive PVC
- alphabet beads
- translucent beads with large holes
- pom-poms
- a keychain attachment
- a hole punch
- a cutting mat
- a pair of scissors
- a pliers
- glue
Step 1
Print the template by clicking here and then cut out a crayon leaving a margin.
Step 2
Cut a rectangle the same size as the pencil from an adhesive PVC sheet.
Remove the protective film and then stick the pencil onto the PVC.
Step 3
Cut a second rectangle from the adhesive PVC and then stick it onto the pencil.
The two layers of PVC will create a sturdy keychain!
Step 4
Cut the PVC by following the outline of the pencil, then make a hole at the tip of it (a few millimeters from the edge) using a hole punch.
Tip: use a cutting board to protect your work surface.
Step 5
Attach the pencil to the keyring by opening and closing it with the help of pliers.
Step 6
Place 2 pom poms on a piece of string and then thread 4 to 6 translucent beads onto the pom poms.
Step 7
Open the keyring and then attach the pom-poms.
Step 8
Glue alphabet beads to personalize the key ring, then let the glue dry for a few hours.
You can write a first name or a word with a maximum of 7 letters.
