During this activity for Father's Day, children will transform a simple cardboard frame into a handy memo board, so dads won't forget anything!
This practical memo, decorated with stickers and rhinestones, can be placed on a desk or a dresser in the living room.
This creative and fun activity will allow children to make a unique gift for Father's Day.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a beautiful memo, you will need:
- a foam board photo frame
- 2 rectangular wooden supports (12.5 x 8.5 cm)
- a blackboard adhesive sheet
- magazine letter stickers
- about 25 heart-shaped rhinestones
- 2 cork stoppers
- a piece of chalk
- specialized rhinestone glue
- a glue gun
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
To start, stick some heart-shaped rhinestones onto the frame, leaving the top and bottom sections empty.
Step 2:
Form the word "DAD" by sticking magazine letters on the top part of the frame.
Step 3:
From a blackboard adhesive sheet, cut out a rectangle measuring 12.5 x 17 cm.
Step 4:
Remove the cover from the blackboard sheet and stick it onto the two rectangular wooden supports (12.5 x 8.5 cm).
Step 5:
This step may require the assistance of an adult.
Then glue everything to the back of the frame with a glue gun so that the chalkboard part is visible inside the frame.
Step 6:
This step may require the help of an adult.
Then, glue 2 corks to the bottom part of the frame using the glue gun. They will serve as chalk holders!
Step 7:
And finally, position the feet on the frame and place the chalk on its holder.
