"Daddy and Me" Pebble Canvas
In this activity, children will have fun creating a beautiful canvas with pebbles (made of recycled plastic) to decorate and represent a father and child.
A simple creative activity that enables young children to present a wonderful gift for Father's Day.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make this lovely picture board, you will need:
- white recycled plastic pebbles
- a wooden board (25 x 15 cm)
- permanent markers
- a grass-effect fabric
- letter stickers from magazines
- double-sided adhesive foam
- a glue stick
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Cut a 15 cm strip from the grass effect fabric (approximately 5 to 6 cm in height) and then glue it to the bottom of the wooden board using a glue stick.
Step 2
Decorate the edge of the wooden board with adhesive rhinestone strips to create a pretty frame for the picture.
Step 3
Choose 4 pebbles (2 large and 2 small) to create 2 characters symbolizing a dad and a child.
Decorate the pebbles with permanent markers.
Step 4
Glue the 4 pebbles onto the wooden board using double-sided adhesive foam (very handy).
Step 5
Use magazine letter stickers to write "DAD AND ME" at the top of the board.
