How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity, you will need:
- wooden logs (Ø 7 cm)
- large round wooden beads (Ø 4 cm)
- assorted-shaped wooden beads
- felt flowers on stems
- pearlescent cabochons
- wood glue
- precision tweezers
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Apply a line of glue all around the wooden log.
Step 2
Glue pearlescent cabochons along the glue line.
Tip: Use precision tweezers to vary the activity while further developing the children's fine motor skills and grasping abilities!
Step 3
Glue a large round wooden bead in the center of the log, making sure to place the hole of the bead facing upwards.
Step 4
Glue a second smaller bead (round, square, etc.) onto the large round bead to give your mini vase an original look.
Again, position the hole facing up.
Step 5
Select a flower, adjust the stem with a pair of scissors, and then place it in the mini vase to complete the creation.
Step 6
Vary shapes and flowers to create beautiful crafts!
