A cute and easy autumn craft to make with children!
Using a cardboard cup and a half foam ball, we will create a lovely mushroom-shaped house where you can slide in a photo. Add some natural elements (wood slices, Icelandic moss) and stickers to achieve a beautiful creation in autumn colors.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a mushroom house, you will need:
- a white cardboard cup
- a half ball made of polystyrene (Ø 9.5 cm)
- acrylic paint (red, white)
- a paintbrush
- a large piece of wood
- natural moss
- felt stickers
- a cutter
- a glue gun
Step 1
Paint a half sphere with red and white paint to create the mushroom's hat.
Step 2
WARNING this step may require the help of an adult.
Cut a window of about 4 cm (with 2 flaps) in the cup using a craft knife.
Step 3
Glue a photo inside the cup.
Step 4
Glue the mushroom cap onto the cup with a hot glue gun and then glue the whole assembly onto a slice of wood.
Step 5
Glue some felt stickers for a lovely autumn decoration.
Step 6
Glue natural foam around the cup using the glue gun.
