Owl with a Cardboard Tube
For this kids craft on the theme of autumn, we are going to recycle toilet paper rolls into funny owls !
A simple creative activity that will provide a lovely family time while also developing the fine motor skills of children from the age of 5 !
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make an owl, you need:
- A cardboard tube
- Adhesive soft rubber
- Multicolored wool
- Two googly eyes (Ø 2.5 cm)
- Adhesive gel dots
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
Fold the top edges of one side of the cardboard roll by pressing down with your index finger to form the heads of the owls.
Step 2:
Cut a slit at the base of the cardboard roll with a pair of scissors.
Step 3:
Insert multicolored wool into the slot and then tie a knot to secure it.
Wrap the wool around the cardboard tube and then tie a knot to secure it again.
Step 4 :
Using adhesive gel dots, stick two 2.5 cm Ø googly eyes on the wool.
Step 5:
From adhesive foam rubber in your choice of color, cut out 2 wing shapes of approximately 6.5 cm in length.
Step 6:
Then cut out a triangle to form the beak of the owl from orange adhesive foam.
Step 7:
And finally, remove the foam rubber cover, then stick the shapes like this.
