Discover a new easy activity themed around autumn to do with the kids.
In this original and natural craft, we will show you how to easily make a cute snail using a piece of kraft paper and a pine cone.
And guess what? We've even prepared a printable template to help the children with this activity: a snail body pattern!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a snail you will need:
- a pine cone
- a sheet of kraft paper
- a caterpillar
- two movable eyes Ø 1.8 cm
- paint (red, orange, and yellow) + a brush
- adhesive gel dots
- a black paint marker
- a stapler
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
Paint the scales of the pine cone with yellow, orange, and red acrylic paint.
Then let it dry for about 30 minutes.
Step 3:
Cut out the shape by carefully following the cutting lines; you should obtain a 'T' shape.
Step 4:
Fold the two ends of the "T" shaped bar down.
This will form the foot of the snail, then staple.
Step 5:
Wrap the kraft paper to form the snail's head and staple it again.
Step 6:
Stick two movable eyes Ø 1.8 cm with adhesive dots.
Step 7:
Using a black paint marker, draw the mouth.
Step 8:
Then fold a chenille in half and fold its ends back to form the antennas.
Step 9:
With an adhesive dot, stick the folded chenille inside the kraft paper roll.
Step 10:
And finally, slightly pull apart the two strips of kraft paper forming the snail's foot.
Then place the pine cone inside.
