In this kids' craft activity themed around autumn, discover how to easily create cute scarecrows with cardboard rolls.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a scarecrow you will need:
- A cardboard roll
- A sheet of adhesive fabric
- A sheet of kraft paper
- Natural raffia
- Fabric flowers
- Colored buttons
- Two googly eyes Ø 1.2 cm
- Flesh-colored paint + a brush
- An orange 3D paint pen
- A black permanent marker
- Adhesive gel dots
- A glue gun
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
To begin, paint the cardboard roll with flesh-colored paint.
Then let it dry for 15 minutes.
Step 2:
Cut out a rectangle of adhesive fabric measuring 5.5 x 15 cm and then stick it around the cardboard roll.
Step 3:
Using adhesive gel dots, stick two movable eyes Ø 1.2 cm.
Step 4:
Draw the scarecrow's nose with an orange 3D paint pen.
Then let it dry flat for 15 minutes.
Step 5:
With a black marker, draw a mouth.
Step 6:
Cut a rectangle measuring 10.5 × 15 cm from a sheet of kraft paper and then fold this rectangle in half.
Step 7:
Then fold the two corners to achieve this result.
Step 8:
Fold the two lower flaps upwards.
Step 9:
Using adhesive gel dots, stick a fabric flower on the flap, then a colorful plastic button in the center of the flower.
Step 10:
WARNING this step may require the help of an adult.
Glue a ball of natural raffia inside the hat using a glue gun.
Step 11:

Then, glue everything onto the roll with a hot glue gun.
Step 12:
Finally, trim the raffia with a pair of scissors.
