Spring Fairy Keychains

To make a nice keychain you will need:

- a wooden bead Ø 4 cm

- a wooden bead Ø 3 cm

- a small hexagonal wooden bead

- a colored shiny bead

- waxed cotton cord Ø 1 mm

- a metal ring Ø 1.5 cm

- colored felt sheets

- precision scissors

- a hole punch

- medium/fine tip POSCA markers

Cut out the following shapes from sheets of felt:

- a small flower (Ø 4 cm)

- a large flower (Ø 8 cm)

- 4 leaves (approximately 5 cm)

Small tip for cutting the flowers: draw circles of Ø 4 cm and 8 cm on the felt and then sketch the flowers inside the circles using a pen. Then cut out the flowers following your outline.

Punch holes in the center of the felt flowers and at the base of the leaves using a punch.

To avoid damaging your work surface, we recommend using a cutting mat.

Cut a piece of waxed cotton cord about 40 cm long and then attach it to a metal ring as shown in the photo.

All that is left is to thread the elements in the following order onto the cord:

1) the small hexagonal wooden bead.

2) the small felt flower

3) the wooden bead Ø 3 cm

4) the large felt flower

5) the 4 felt sheets

6) the wooden bead Ø 4 cm

To finish the keychain, thread a pretty shiny acrylic bead and then make a double knot.

All that’s left is to draw the face of your spring fairy using Posca markers (fine or medium tips).
