Materials:
To make a ladybug you need:
- Two half polystyrene spheres
- A round wooden base Ø 18 cm
- Acrylic paint and a brush
- Two large googly eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- Black and white POSCA markers
- Black chenille stems Ø 6 mm
- Alphabet stickers
- Paper flowers
- Round adhesive rhinestones Ø 6 mm
- Adhesive glue dots
- White glue
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
Paint 2 half-balls made of polystyrene, the one with Ø 5.5 cm in black and the one with Ø 9.5 cm in red.
Step 2:
Paint the wooden support with green acrylic paint.
Step 3:
Once the red half-ball is dry, cut 6 pieces of black chenille about 3 cm long and push them into the polystyrene to create the legs of the ladybug.
Step 4:
Draw small black dots with the Posca marker.
Step 5:
Then cut 2 pieces of black chenille about 6 cm long and insert them into the black half-ball, then fold the ends to form the antennas.
Draw the mouth of the ladybug with a white POSCA marker.
Step 6:
Glue the ladybug's head and eyes using adhesive gel pads.
Step 7:
Using 3 adhesive gel dots, attach your ladybug to the wooden base.
Step 8:
All you have left is to decorate the base, for that, glue small paper flowers inside the larger ones, then add a rhinestone in the center for a nice finish.
Step 9:
Now glue your flowers onto the wooden support using the adhesive gel pads to achieve a 3D effect.
Step 10 :
Customize your creation by writing a first name with letter stickers.
