Symmetrical Painting: The Butterfly

To make a butterfly you will need:

- a strong white cardstock (A4 - 300 g/m²)

- a strong black cardstock (A4 - 300 g/m²)

- pearlescent gouache

- eye stickers

- metallic markers

- a pair of scissors

- a glue stick

- a pencil

Fold the heavyweight white card in half.

Open the sturdy card in half and then drop "drops" of pearlescent gouache onto the left side of the card.

Vary the colors.

Fold the card in half and press down on the entire surface to spread the paint evenly.

Open the map to admire the perfectly symmetrical distribution of shapes and colors.

Allow the paint to dry for a few hours.

Retrying the experience, the result will be unique every time!

Once the paint is dry, fold the card in half and draw the shape of a butterfly wing.

Cut the wings following the outline.

Fold a strong black card in half and draw a "half-body" of a butterfly along the fold.

This will allow you to obtain a perfectly symmetrical body.

Cut the body following the outline, then glue it to the center of the wings to form the butterfly.

Stick 2 eye stickers.

Draw a smile with metallic markers and decorate the body of the butterfly if you wish.

Note: our metallic markers allow you to draw on black paper!

Cut 2 small strips of black paper and wrap them around a pencil to create the butterfly's antennas.

Glue the 2 antennas behind the head of the butterfly.
