Pitt Artist Pen black markers, Faber-Castell - 4 pieces
The Pitt Artist Pen is a reference marker for ink drawing. It contains genuine pigmented India ink, the same type of ink used with dip pens, but in a clean, portable, ready-to-use pen. It delivers a dense, opaque black from the first stroke.
Four nibs, four uses
- S: 0.3 mm for tight hatching, textures, fine details and writing.
- F: 0.5 mm the standard outline line, suitable for many uses.
- M: 0.7 mm for bold lines, frames and emphasising foregrounds.
- B: brush tip a flexible nib that varies from fine to broad lines depending on pressure and angle.
Quality ink:
- Water-resistant once dry: you can paint over it with watercolours without the ink running.
- Excellent lightfastness: the black does not fade or yellow over time. Essential for originals to be framed.
- Permanent and odourless, free from harsh solvents. Suitable for closed studios or classrooms.
Can you paint watercolour over it?
Yes. The ink resists water once dry, so lines stay sharp. Let it dry a few moments before painting.
Is it suitable for manga and comics?
Yes. The fine nibs are perfect for inking outlines and screentones, while the brush tip creates solid blacks and variable line widths typical of the style.
Does the ink bleed through paper?
On thin sketchbook paper, slight show-through may occur. Use paper of 100 g/m² or heavier, or special ink/marker paper.
