POSCA Markers Fine Tips - 8 Pastel Colors
POSCA markers contain water-based ink with lightfast pigments.
Permanent felt tip markers on porous surfaces; once the paint is dry, you can varnish your creation with gouache or acrylic paint varnish. On smooth surfaces, the POSCA is temporary; you can fix the paint on porcelain by covering it with a water-based spray varnish, spraying from 30cm away with small circular motions. Items decorated with POSCA markers lose their food-safe status.
- POSCA on textiles such as cotton, silk, linen, or canvas, polyester, viscose: for better adhesion, wash your fabric before decorating. Start by outlining your design, then fill in as needed to avoid any bleeding effects on delicate fabrics. To fix the colors, iron the fabric inside out without steam.
- POSCA on glass and windows: removable with a damp cloth or glass cleaner.
- POSCA on glass and ceramics: For non-food use, fix the colors with a water-based varnish.
- POSCA on unglazed terracotta and porcelain: bake the item in the oven at 220°C for 45 minutes to set the colors.
Usage Tips:
- Shake the POSCA vertically with the cap on to ensure the paint inside is well mixed.
- Prime the marker on a sheet of paper by pressing the tip down multiple times until it is saturated with paint.
- Then use your POSCA on your chosen surface, and if the flow becomes weaker, re-prime the tip on a sheet of paper.
