Blender Pencil + Full Blender Bright - 2 pcs
Caran d'Ache Set: 1 blending pencil + 1 Full Blender Bright. Colorless medium made of wax and oil that melts, unifies, adds shine, and protects your colored pencils.
Full Blender Bright: the tool that few artists know, and that none abandon!
Be careful not to confuse: this is not a paper blending stump. This set combines two tools of a different kind: colorless mediums based on wax and oil, which work like pencils but act like a varnish. The Full Blender Bright combines in one tool two functions that previously required two products: that of the blender (to unify and mix) and that of the burnisher (to polish and shine).
4 effects in 1 tool:
- The shine effect. This is the most spectacular. Its wax and oil composition brings shine and brightness to the color. After polishing, the drawing takes on an appearance close to that of painting: the pigments seem saturated, the texture of the paper disappears, and the surface catches the light.
- The blending. It homogenizes colors, blends them together, softens pencil strokes, and intensifies shades. This allows for a transition from coloring to true modeling.
- The protection: it makes certain areas water-resistant, before or after coloring. It notably allows for making a drawing done with water-soluble pencil permanent, and it enhances UV resistance.
- The precision: Raw, it forms over the course of the works: you play with the edges to cover large areas flatly. Sharpened, its fine and durable tip works on details.
Contents of the set:
-
The blending pencil, wooden-cased and sharpenable to a fine point, for precise areas and small details (an eye, a lock of hair, a reflection).
-
The Full Blender Bright, hexagonal stick entirely made of material, without wood. Rich in medium and 100% usable: you consume it down to the last millimeter, making it the most economical option in use.
FAQ
With which pencils can it be used? With colored pencils, graphite, and wax pastels.
How to make a drawing water-resistant? By applying the Full Blender to the concerned areas, before or after coloring. This notably allows for fixing a drawing made with water-soluble pencil.
Do the colors become more vivid? Yes. By filling in the texture of the paper and binding the pigments, the blender visibly intensifies the shades.
Is it the same as a paper blending stump? No, and this is a common confusion. A paper blending stump moves the pigment. The Full Blender is a colorless medium based on wax and oil: it melts colors together, intensifies them, makes them shine, and protects them.

J'adore le Blender Bright car, en plus d'intensifier les couleurs, il crée un léger brillant et protège mes œuvres des UV et de l'eau.
