A Pretty Bookmark for Mom and Dad
Today, we are going to make a pretty bookmark using paper, a hole punch, and a lovely colorful pom-pom.
An easy gift to make by children that can be given for both Mother's Day and Father's Day!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a bookmark you need:
- a sturdy white A4 card (300 g/m²)
- patterned sturdy cards
- a photo
- a heart-shaped hole punch (size: 2.5 cm)
- protective adhesive film
- a colored pom-pom
- a hole punch
- a pair of scissors
- a glue stick
- a ruler and a pencil
Step 1
Cut 2 rectangles:
- the first (18 x 6 cm) in a colored patterned card
- the second (17 x 5 cm) in a white card
Step 2
Glue the white rectangle in the center of the colored rectangle.
Step 3
Cut out and paste a photo at the bottom of the bookmark.
Step 4
Cut out 2.5 cm hearts from patterned cards using a punch.

Step 5
Stick the small colored hearts on the bookmark.
Step 6
To protect the bookmark, cover it (front and back) with clear adhesive film.
Step 7
Cut the excess adhesive film with a pair of scissors.
Step 8
Make a hole at the top of the bookmark using a hole punch.
Step 9
Attach a pretty colored pom-pom using the hole made previously.
