Here's an activity that your children will surely enjoy!
Using paper, combine cutting, folding, and gluing to create these little articulated fish. The kids can then attach them to the backs of family members on April 1st.
An original creative activity that will help develop children's motor skills.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a fish, you will need:
- Colored A4 paper sheets (130 g/m² for easy folding)
- A pair of scissors
- A glue stick
- A black marker
Step 1:
Take a sheet of colored A4 paper and fold one corner to form a triangle.
Step 2:
Cut the remaining sheet of paper to obtain a square and keep the remaining paper.
Step 3:
Take one corner of the square and fold it over the middle crease.
Repeat the folding for the opposite corner; you will get a shape resembling a "kite".
Step 4:
Unfold everything and fold the square in half.
Step 5:
Then cut small strips up to the folding line while leaving an area for the fish's head.
Step 6 :
Glue the two uncut parts together like this.
Step 7:
Round the tip with a pair of scissors to create a nice head.
Step 8:
Using the leftover paper saved from the first step, cut out a semicircle the width of the fish's head.
Step 9:
Glue the semicircle to form the lower part of the mouth.
Step 10:
Cut out two small circles from a sheet of white paper and draw the pupils with a black marker.
Step 11:
From another sheet of colored paper, cut out a heart and two fins.
Step 12:
Glue the heart to the end of the fish tail, the fins on the sides, and the eyes.
