Crab with a Paper Mache Box
In this summer craft activity, children will discover how to make a crab from a paper mache box!
A creative summer craft that children will love to make again with family at home.
Little ones can then store the shells found on the beach inside this box.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a crab you will need:
- A cardboard heart box
- 2 clothespins (4.5 cm)
- Mosaic stickers
- A fabric bow tie
- Four red chenille stems
- Two moving eyes Ø 1.8 cm
- Red paint and a brush
- Gel adhesive dots
- A compass
Step 1:
Paint the heart-shaped cardboard box and two clothespins with red paint.
Then let it dry for 20 minutes.
Step 2:
By following the arrows in the photo, make 8 holes on the sides of the box with the tip of a compass.
Step 3 :
Insert the red chenille stems as shown in the photo to create the crab's legs and claws.
Step 4:
On the lid of the box, stick mosaic stickers following the outline.
Step 6:
Stick 2 googly eyes with adhesive dots.
Step 6:
With an adhesive dot, stick a fabric bow.
Step 7:
Close the cardboard heart box.
Step 8:
And finally, attach the two clothespins to the ends of the chenille stems to form the crab's pincers.
