5 Ideas for Decorating a Wooden Starfish
In this new craft activity themed around summer, children will learn to create colorful starfish using wooden stars and various accessories!
This easy craft on the ocean theme will provide a lovely family time where everyone can choose a way to decorate their starfish!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make starfish you need:
- Wooden stars
- Adhesive googly eyes
- Colored round beads
- Squares of tissue paper
- Round adhesive rhinestones
- Glitter glue pens
- Paint and a brush
- White glue
- A black marker
Step 1:
To start, paint the wooden stars with paint.
Then let dry for 20 minutes.
Step 2:
Stick two moving eyes on the star.
Step 3:
Draw a smile with a black marker.
Step 4:
Apply white glue around the edge of the star for versions 1, 2, and 3.
Version 1:
For this first version, it will be enough to place small shiny round beads on the glue.
Version 2 :
For the second version, this time place large hole round beads onto the glue.
Version 3:
For the third version, make small balls with the tissue paper squares and place them on the glue.
Version 4 :
Regarding the fourth version, simply stick the round adhesive rhinestones around the outline of the star.
Version 5:
And finally for the fifth version, decorate the outline of the star with glitter glue pens (here, we made 2 outlines).
Children will learn to control the pressure on the pen to achieve a regular flow and a nice line.
Then let it dry for a few hours.
